After our Bogota layover we got in late to Quito and then drove straight to Casa Mojando for our Christmas. It was a good choice- although we were not in Colorado- there were many things that made us feel at home for the holidays, examples?
Mountains? Plenty, here is Volcan Cotocachi 4937 meters
Winter hats? but of course. And Symon will appreciate the scarf as well.
Flowing fields of green full of cows? OK- not really a Colorado Xmas- but sure is purty!
Snorkel Hot tub? Just like in the backyard!
Amazing presents? Of course, here is my favorite:
Very nice people, VERY nice food, and groovy spots to go hike- here is our trip to lago cuicocha.
Okay so this was an amazing beautiful family that was out walking the hills. I thought it over for awhile then went ahead and asked if I could take a picture. You could tell from the boys expressions how "cool" they thought my idea was. After I took it and shared my cookies they broke out the huge grins... alas. Oh and I liked the little guys thundercats shirt
and we also got to ride horses- from the next 3 photos can you guess which caballero is the biggest rookie.
you are correct if you guessed caballero number 3.
Ah I love Lago Cuicocha! If I'd known you were headed to Otavalo, I'd have encouraged you to head a little further west into Intag in the cloud forest. Looks like you had a great time anyway. I hope all is well, Mr. Isom!
